The purpose of this website is to inform the students of Texas Tech, and college kids in general about the dangers of drinking and driving. This has been a reoccurring problem all over the country that hasn't been brought to the front of everyones attention. Education institutions seem to dance around the problem and not fully address it. Although the audience I am mainly focusing on is college age students, this issue can be stretched to high schoolers and those above the ages of 25 as well, because all ages have association to drinking and driving. The context which is included in this website is general awareness of the problem, helpful information associated to the dangers of driving drunk, statistics and facts about college age drunk drivers and also insight to those who have had the unlucky fortune of receiving a DUI or DWI. I took a 80 person survey and asked two simple questions; are you of age to drink, and if you've gotten behind the wheel and driven after drinking. I printed out paper with those questions and received the results anonymously. The results of the survey could be considered a bit skewed being that the sample size is not random and every member is associated in Greek Life. But of those stats I received to those of the national average give a good comparison and differences of non-Geek to Greek alcohol consumption. I've also included secondary research that I pulled from my annotated bibliography that I did over the same topic. The layout that I used was simple for navigation. I wanted to be able to put a video directly onto my website but if I did so I was to be charged so I just made a link to YouTube, other than that everything ran smoothly.
